In July 2026, Books Point Bookstore supplied a collection of pre-loved children’s storybooks to Light International School Primary (Light Academy), marking the beginning of a promising literacy support journey with the school.

How the Project Began
The project began when a member of the school’s staff contacted Books Point after discovering our extensive children’s book catalogue on Facebook.
The school was looking for a collection of assorted storybooks suitable for older children.
We discussed the school’s needs and agreed that Books Point would bring the available selection to the school, allowing the staff to review the books and choose those that suited their requirements.
Book Selection and Delivery
The books were selected from our accumulated stock of pre-loved children’s and teenage books acquired over the preceding months at Books Point Bookstore.
We brought approximately 110 books in very good condition, suitable for readers aged 10 years and above, for the school to review.
Upon arrival, we took the collection to the school library and worked alongside the staff member who had contacted us to sort through the books.
Following the selection process, the school chose 95 storybooks for its collection. The school also covered the delivery fee.
A Shared Commitment to Literacy
Delivering these books was a memorable first experience for Books Point. Seeing the school’s impressive library and knowing that the collection would contribute to young readers’ access to stories was deeply encouraging.
The experience also marked the beginning of what we hope will be a lasting literacy support journey between Books Point and Light International School Primary.
